Commercial Coffee Roasters — Built in the USA

Primo builds commercial coffee roasters for businesses that roast for a living — cafés roasting their own beans, wholesale roasteries, and production facilities. Every XR-Series machine is hand-built in Huntington Beach, California from American steel, with infrared burner technology, variable-speed drum and airflow motors, and our Roast Master profiling software included with every purchase.

Unlike most manufacturers, we publish our prices. The XR-Series runs from $28,000 for the XR-5 to $195,000+ for the XR-70 and custom production builds. No quote-wall, no guessing — compare the numbers below, then run your own revenue math with our Roast Income Calculator.

What Size Commercial Coffee Roaster Do You Need?

Roaster sizing comes down to one number: how many pounds you need to roast per week, divided by the hours you can realistically spend roasting. Work backward from your sales, not forward from the machine.

XR-5

5 kg class · up to 40 lbs/hour

The right machine for cafés roasting for their own bar, farmers-market and online roasters, and anyone proving out a roasting business before scaling. Runs on standard 110 V power and fits through a standard man door — no special electrical or building work to get started.

XR-15

15 kg class · up to 95 lbs/hour

The workhorse for a roastery supplying its own café plus early wholesale accounts. Batch sizes from 15 to 33 lbs give you flexibility between small single-origin runs and volume blends on the same machine.

XR-20

20 kg class · up to 144 lbs/hour

For growing wholesale operations that have outgrown a 15 kg machine but aren't ready for a dedicated production floor. Same footprint as the XR-15, roughly 50% more hourly output.

XR-30

30 kg class · up to 228 lbs/hour

Production roasting. If you're supplying grocery, co-packing, or running multiple wholesale routes, this is where batch economics start working hard for you.

XR-70 and Custom Builds

70 kg class and beyond · 500+ lbs/hour

Industrial-scale roasting, built to your specification. Custom drum configurations, finishes, and facility integration. Contact us to spec a custom machine.
